Serving the Northwest Panhandle of Texas since 1945
Rita Blanca Electric Cooperative was created in 1945 to provide electricity to families living in the rural areas of the Northwestern Panhandle of Texas. Over the years, the co-op has grown along with the needs of Panhandle residents
Today, Rita Blanca Electric serves more than 6,630 active meters, 2,590 rural residential installations, 2,389 irrigations loads, and 1,637 commercial and 17 public street lightning services.
Being a co-op, all of our customers are active members. Rita Blanca Electric Co-op members not only get exceptional service and affordable rates, but they have the power to vote on issues that effect the co-op and they receive dividends from the organization’s profits.
Rita Blanca Electric is proud of all that we have accomplished together through this co-op, and we look forward to a very bright future.
